About CLHA

Cypress Lakes Village‘s Homeowner Association (CLHA) of Lakeland, Florida is the only legal body recognized by the state of Florida to act on behalf of the residents that make up our 55+ community.

Our retirement homeowner association meets regularly with the Management of Cypress Lakes Village, acting as “watchdog” on important items that affect our community, as well as our quality of life. These items include homesite/lot lease increases, changes in rules and regulations, and reduction in services. As a retirement community with a HOA, we strive to continue to make Cypress Lakes Village a great place to live.

CLHA promotes and supports the many activities available to our residents such as Veterans’ events, 19th Holers golf events and Garden Club events, just to name a few. CLHA also supports community projects that maintain and enhance residents’ overall lifestyle.

Board of Directors

CLHA is managed by a Board of Directors that is elected by members of the association annually in January. The board consists of 11 members who serve in three-year terms. Each year, three to four new members are elected to take the seats of expired terms.

Shortly after the annual election in January, the new Board of Directors elect officers, which consist of the president, vice president, secretary and treasurer.

The board meets monthly from January through May, then again from October through December. Retirement community’s association meetings are posted in advance and open to attendance by all CLHA members.

Retirement Homeowners' Association Membership

In order to represent your community and become a member of CLHA, a small $15-per-year membership fee is required (pay three years up front and save).
