Golf Communities Central FLA list of the best golf communities in Central Florida would be conspicuously incomplete if it did not include Cypress Lakes. Big Cypress Golf & Country Club

The golf facilities at Cypress Lakes are a major and often decisive factor in one’s decision to become a resident of our community. We proudly offer two extraordinary 18-hole courses that provide challenges for both golfing novices and skilled competitors.

South Course

This course is an impressive 6,650 yards long from the back tees and is a par 72 championship layout featuring Bermuda grass fairways and recently installed Diamond Zoysia greens. It was designed by noted golf course architect Ron Garl and has been recognized by Golf Digest, Florida Golfer, and other magazines.

North Course

An executive-length par 60, the North Course is a popular choice for anyone looking to get in a quick nine or 18. It was designed by Chip Powell and features Bermuda fairways and Tifdwarf greens. The toughest hole on this course – hole #1 – will be the very first one you play. It is a par 4 measuring in at nearly 300 yards from the back tees.
