Cypress Lakes® in Lakeland, FL, Expands Public Play Options With a Summer Golf Membership Program

A one-time fee of $500 will entitle the nonresident member to hit the links and enjoy other privileges at the community’s Big Cypress Golf & Country Club from May 1 to September 30.

The summer membership applies to both of the meticulously maintained 18-hole golf courses at Cypress Lakes®: the 3,494-yard, par 60 North Executive Course designed by Chip Powell and the 6,680-yard, par 72 South Championship Course designed by Ron Garl. Both golf courses have received high marks in golfing reviews, and the South Course was ranked 38th in Florida based on Golfers’ Choice reviews of public play golf courses compiled by Golfpass.com.

At Cypress Lakes®, our full-service golf club stands out from the others in Central Florida because of the scenic beauty, outstanding design, and scrupulous maintenance of its golf courses. The South Course in particular has been recognized many times for its superb layout and excellent condition. While members of the public are invited to play rounds on our golf courses year-round, the summer membership will provide perks that will enhance their golfing experience. For example, Big Cypress boasts driving and practice range facilities, a restaurant and tavern, and a pro shop, all of which those who live outside of Cypress Lakes® can enjoy with their summer golf membership.

Additional benefits include:

  • Golf privileges after 11 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday and anytime on Sunday
  • Tee time reservations five days in advance
  • Complimentary medium bucket range balls on the day of play, as well as the option of signing up for a range plan
  • Golf cart fees of $15 for nine holes and $25 for 18 holes
  • Charging privileges
  • The option of signing up for golfing lessons at the pro shop
